One key marker of cellular senescence is P16, a protein that increases as cells age. By understanding and modulating P16 expression, we can unlock the secrets to maintaining youthful, radiant skin.

The provided images show a comparison between a senescent aged(before) skin explant and upon  treatment with a specific senolytic compound (after) . The red signal  indicates the presence of p16.

Key Observations:

Reduced Senescence: The “after” image shows a significant decrease in red staining compared to the “before” image. This reduction in p16 expression indicates a decrease in the number of senescent cells within the treated skin explant.
